For the past five years I have produced and edited the Cecil B. De Mille Lifetime Achievement Award for the Golden Globe Awards on NBC for Dick Clark Productions honoring recipients Robert DeNiro, Morgan Freeman, Jodie Foster, Woody Allen and the 2015 honoree, George Clooney.

My directing work includes commercials, music videos, documentaries and narrative film. The music video for the song “Eve” by recording artist Rebecca Jordan (composer, Kelly Clarkson’s Beautiful Disaster) premiered on American Songwriter, won “Best Music Video” at the  Berlin Independent Film Festival and Director’s Choice “Best Music Video” at the Rincon International Film Festival. Stigmata .44, a cautionary tale about children and guns, won the Audience Award at the Uppsala International Short Film Festival in Sweden, and aired on WTTW Chicago, KPBS San Diego and KQED San Francisco as a part of Latino Heritage and anti-violence programming. The short mash up of the indie hits “Swingers” and “Sling Blade” that I produced and directed, entitled, Swing Blade, became a cult smash (1.2 million hits on YouTube), getting positive notice from the Los Angeles Times, TV Guide, Movieline, and People Magazine, and aired on Bravo, Encore Movies, and Britain’s Film 4. It was released by Rhino Films theatrically as a short attraction before the comedy Plump Fiction, and by Miramax Films on the Swingers Collector’s Edition DVD (now on Blu Ray). This attention led to development deals at Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Entertainment.

I directed a special shoot with Ron Jeremy for the legit documentary featurePorn Star: The Legend of Ron Jeremy, produced by Maelstrom Entertainment and released at Landmark Theaters. I have been a film festival judge for Red Rock Film Festival and MethodFest, and am a founder and co-director of the International Film Festival North Hollywood  which is gearing up for our 2016 inaugural event. My debut feature film, Canine Instinct, has screened in festivals worldwide, recently winning Best Feature Documentary at the Burbank International Film Festival. Finally, if you ever wondered who edited trailers for films such as Sex Tape, Jack Reacher, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, Sweeney Todd, Minority Report, and Sin City, to name a few, that was me, too.

I also like to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Cooking, mostly.
