“Canine Instinct” has won the award for Best Documentary Feature at the 2011 Burbank International Film Festival.

The screening at the AMC 6 Theater in Burbank, CA was perhaps the best we have had. The audience was enthusiastic and gave high marks to the film in the Q&A afterward with director Nicholas Goodman. We want to express our thanks to Festival Director Adrian Iniguez, Ken Mora, Bobby Rydell, and Brandon Scott Kurtz for recognizing the work and hosting a great event.

We just locked picture on writer-director Pedro Brenner’s latest film, HELP ME PLEASE, a very interesting short film that I am hopeful will get some festival attention. It is great fun to collaborate with Pedro and composer Jay Vincent.

CANINE INSTINCT has won an award for BEST FEATURE DOCUMENTARY – Honorable Mention at the 9th Annual DIY Film Festival, which recognizes films made following the “Do It Yourself” paradigm – no studio or corporate financing, no big crew, just the ability to tell a good story using tools that are available to everyone. It is a privilege to be honored.

Canine Instinct has upcoming screenings in Georgia, and New York. The film is an Official Selection at the Macon Film Festival in Macon, Georgia and screens twice:

Cox Capitol Theater at 12:00 Noon Thursday, February 17

Macon Marriott City Center at 12:00 Noon Saturday, February 19

Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead

Another trailer just completed, in association with Zealot Productions, this one for Joe Cross’ excellent film, Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead. The documentary feature tells the inspirational story of Cross and his odyssey to lose 100 pounds in 60 days, weaning himself off of all medication as he travels across America drinking nothing but green juice!
